Selection and display of the additional measure-
ment functions during the measuring process in
active display mode (SCAN):
The additional values displayed on the upper functional
value display can be changed in quick sequence during the
measuring process in active display mode by pressing the
key "Function" (mode)
desired measurement function is displayed.
The measuring functions are designated by one of the dis-
play symbols MAX, MIN, AVG or DIF, depending on the se-
lected function.
The memory function (LOG) also appears when
changing from one measuring function (MIN, MAX,
AVG or DIF) to another. This function is explained in
detail in chapter 10.2.6.
Selection and display of the additional measure-
ment functions in passive display mode (HOLD):
Additional measurement values obtained during the meas-
uring process can also be read from the display after the
measuring process has been carried out or after the de-
vice has been switched off in between. Changes to pres-
elected additional measurement values may also be car-
ried out for subsequent measurements.
In order to do so, press the key "Function" (mode)
passive display mode (HOLD) until the symbol of the pre-
selected measuring value (MAX, MIN, AVG, DIF or LOG)
starts to blink.
The change from one additional measuring value
to another can only be effected by pressing the
keys "Up"
or "Down"
The measuring value function that has been se-
lected starts to blink and the measurement value
obtained from the last measuring process is dis-
played on the upper functional value dsplay.
The last additional measuring value function re-

10.2.6 Memory function (LOG)

The infrared thermometer is equipped with a memory
function that enables the user to store as many as 100 IR
measurement values during the temperature measuring
process, allowing them to be accessed at a later date.
The memory function can only be used if it has either been
preselected before measuring is carried out or activated
during the actual measuring process itself.
Tip: The memory function can also be used in connection
with the permanent measuring function, meaning that the
measuring trigger
whole time.
Only contact-free infrared measurement values
can be stored. The memory function is not
available for measurement values determined by using
the contact sensor type K (see chapter 11).
Preselection of the memory function prior to the
measuring process in passive display mode
(HOLD):
Press the key "Functions" (mode)
intervals in passive display mode until the symbol of the
preselected measuring value function (MAX, MIN, AVG,
DIF or LOG) starts to blink.
Carry on changing through the additional measur-
in
ing value functions by pressing the key "Up"
"Down"
repeatedly until the word denoting the mem-
ory function (LOG) starts to blink.
The memory function is now activated and available for the
next measuring process.
Selecting the memory function during the meas-
uring process in active display mode (SCAN):
The memory function can be selected during the measur-
ing process in active display mode (SCAN) by pressing the
key "Functions" (mode)
til the word denoting the memory function (LOG) starts to
