Cleaning the appliance

● Follow the cleaning instructions provided by the detergent manufacturer when using limescale-
dissolving detergents.
. Remove limescale deposit using acetic acid solution:
− Fill the pan with a vinegar solution so that all the limescale is covered.
− Allow the vinegar solution to briefly boil and to act for about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on
the limescale deposits.
− Drain the cleaning vinegar into a storage container. You can use the vinegar solution repeat­
edly to remove limescale.
− Cleaning the pan.
. Empty and clean the Gastronorm containers.
. Rinse the cleaned surfaces thoroughly with water and rub them dry.
. Clean stainless steel surfaces with grease-dissolving cleaner or a special stainless steel care
agent.
. Close the drain tap.

Errors and remedies

If malfunctions should occur, please check them using the following table:
Malfunction
The green indi­
cator light does
not light when
switched on.
The appliance is
switched on but
does not heat
up.
The appliance is
switched on.
The yellow and
green indicator
light lights up
but the appli­
ance does not
heat.
If the fault cannot be rectified:
‒ switch off the appliance and disconnect from mains,
‒ do not open the housing,
‒ Contact customer service.
Possible cause
Main switch before appliance
not turned on.
There is no power supply at
all.
Mains fuse on site has
tripped.
An upstream energy-optimis­
ing unit does not switch on the
heating.
For example, the appliance
has been overheated due to
heating when dry. The tem­
perature limiter has tripped.
Remedy
Turn on main switch.
Inform the power supply company.
Possible faults on the appliance must
be checked by an authorised Customer
Service agent.
Reset the circuit breaker.
Check the energy-optimising unit.
Switch off the appliance.
Wait until the appliance has cooled
down.
Pour water into the pan.
Switch on the appliance.
If the problem occurs again, have the
appliance checked by authorized cus­
tomer service.
