Safety instructions
DANGER! Determination and assessment of hazards in accordance with the Ger
man Health and Safety at Work Act
● According to the German Health and Safety at Work Act, the employer must assess the hazards
for employees carrying out the work and what health and safety measures are necessary. Ob
serve the information from the employers' liability insurance association for commercial kitchens!
● The employer must specify and provide the personal protective equipment.
WARNING! Risk of injury
● Caution! The appliance is hot during use!
● Take care when removing the containers: the containers are hot! Hot air or steam may escape as
the containers are removed!
CAUTION! Risk of damage
● The appliance must never be heated without water in the pan.
● The pan can be damaged by overheating! Therefore, never heat up the appliance without
water in the pan and always switch off before emptying!
● Do not pour cold water into an empty heated pan! The sudden change in temperature will cause
severe stresses and may damage the unit.
● Only fill the pan with water to approx. 3 cm high when cold. Gastronorm containers must have
contact with the water!
● Food must not be placed directly into the bain marie's pan. Food may only be heated or kept
warm in stainless steel containers or Gastronorm containers made of stainless steel!
● Containers must not be placed on the bottom of the pan! Containers must be hooked in! Use only
Gastronorm containers made from stainless steel and Gastronorm containers with handles! Use
only containers made from stainless steel!
● Corrosion or pitting damage may be caused to the pan by salty water or cleaning materi
als! Therefore empty and clean the pan before any operating break! Do not leave detergents in
the pan for an extended period. Remove the trivet after draining and cleaning and rinse the pan
and trivet thoroughly with clean water.
● Do not spray or clean the appliance with water hoses, high-pressure cleaners, high-pressure
steam cleaners or steam cleaners!
● Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance enclosures! The foam cleaner enters
the smallest cracks and destroys components inside the appliance!
● If you are unable to correct malfunctions with the information on page 23 chapter 7. "Trou
bleshooting", switch off the appliance and notify the authorisedcustomer service.
● If the appliance has not been used for a longer period,have it checked by customer servicefor
correct operation.
