2. TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION.
2.1. TRANSPORT AND PACKAGING.
Knocks and sudden movements must be avoided when transporting the equipment. In any case, the packaging must
be protected from water.
HANDLE THE EQUIPMENT CAREFULLY, IT WILL LAST LONGER !
2.2. ELECTRICAL SUPPLY INSTALLATION.
The electrical installation of the equipment making up the system must be carried out by specialised personnel
according to the applicable standards.
The location must fulfil the following conditions:
Place: Dry and ventilated. Far enough away from the welding area in order to prevent the dust caused by the
-
welding process from getting into the equipment. Never work in the rain.
The distribution panel where the machine has to be connected must have the following elements, at least:
-
DIFFERENTIAL CIRCUIT BREAKER (ID): Bi-polar or Tri-polar with a minimum sensitivity of 300 mA. The aim of this
switch is to protect the personnel from direct or indirect contact with electrical parts under voltage. The differential
circuit breaker is selected in agreement with the Characteristics plate.
AUTOMATIC CIRCUIT BREAKER (IA): Bi-polar. The instrument will be chosen according to the Characteristics plate.
The connection to the mains is made by the input hose. IMPORTANT! Verify that the wire is connected to a plug with
an efficient earth tap.
The GALA 160 PFC equipment has an electricity supply network adaptation system, so that once it is connected to
the mains, the actual equipment carry out an assessment of the supply voltage compensating this in a range from 95
to 265 V, in which it remains operative.
Depending on supply voltage, the equipment acts on a power range;
The adaptation and compensation system of input voltage in a full range of 95 ÷ 265 V makes this equipment ideal
for the following configurations;
1.- Extension cords of great length.
2.- Connection to generating set.
3.- Can be connected to 110 V and 220 V, indifferently.
4.- Electrical networks with accused voltage fluctuations.

If you have special equipment, with power supply voltage other than 230 V, you will find the data for defining the
necessary electrical installation on the equipment characteristics plate.
Any supply voltage that is outside the rated margin gives rise to the activation of the protection system, preventing the
welding operation.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS SHOULD ONLY BE HANDLED BY SPECIALISED PERSONNEL.
BEFORE STARTING THE EQUIPMENT, VERIFY THAT THE ELECTRODE TONG IS SEPARATED
FROM THE WELDING MASS.
