Please read through this user manual thoroughly before using your
SOLIS electric grill, so that you become familiar with your appliance and can
use it safely. We thoroughly recommend that you keep these instructions
and, if you pass the appliance on, that you also hand these instructions to
the new owner.
For your own safety, please observe the following safety measures when using elec-
trical appliances:
1. In order to avoid electric shock, neither the grill, temperature controls, power
cable or the plug, may come into contact with water, rain or other fluids. Water
could seep into the appliance and damage it! Should the appliance, power cable
or plug come into contact with fluid, immediately pull the plug out from the
power socket using dry rubber gloves.
2. Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the appliance
matches your mains voltage. The appliance is to be connected to a socket-outlet
having an earthing contact.
3. The appliance must stand on a solid, heat-resistant, dry surface during opera-
tion. Ensure that the appliance is stable enough that it will not be overturned
by anyone.
4. Lay the power cord where it will not be tripped over by someone or where it will
not cause the appliance to topple over. Ensure that the cable does not come into
contact with any hot surfaces, such as the appliance itself, before you plug it in.
Always unwind the power cable completely before plugging in the appliance.
5. Keep the appliance away from hot gas, hot ovens or other heat sources. Do not
use the appliance in rooms containing flammable or explosive fluids or gasses.
6. Never use the appliance on wet or hot surfaces. Keep the appliance away from
damp, heat and naked flames. Keep the electric grill away from moving parts
or appliances.
7. Never carry or pull the appliance by the cable and do not place anything on top
of the power cable.
8. If you use an extension cable with the appliance, it must rated for outdoor use
and nominal values of 10 A / 230 V. Use the shortest possible extension cable
and never connect two or more extension cables together. Do not place the
appliance directly under a power socket.
9. Unplug the appliance when it is not in use or unattended, and before cleaning.
We recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD safety switch) to en-
sure additional protection during the use of electrical appliances. It is advisable
to use a safety switch with a rated residual operating current of 30 mA maxi-
mum. For professional advice consult an electrician.
