OPERATING THE ELECTRIC GRILL
s
1. Unfold the base, following the instructions for collapsing the stand in reverse.
2. Check that the temperature controller is plugged in, the side shelves are folded
out and the grease tray is in place, underneath the grill.
Tip:
In order to reduce the amount of cleaning, you can cover the metal reflector in the
grill with commercially available aluminium foil. The aluminium foil fulfils exactly the
same heat-reflection function as the metal reflector and protects the metal reflector
from getting dirty.
After grilling, you can remove and discard the foil. Please do not forget to make a
hole in the foil, in the correct place, to allow dripping grease to run into the grease
tray. The grease tray becomes hot during grilling! Protect your hands if you have to
touch it, before or after grilling, in order to clean or empty it.
3. Place the grill tray into the grill. Insert the plug into a suitable power socket.
Ensure that the cable is placed such that it will not be tripped over by anyone.
4. Pre-heat the grill on the highest temperature level for at least 10 minutes with
the cover down, before placing the food you wish to grill onto the grill tray.
5. Then adjust the temperature controller to the desired setting and place the food
you wish to grill onto the grill tray.

AFTER GR I LLING

After use, turn the temperature controller to the "O"-position and pull out the plug
from the power socket.
Allow the appliance to cool completely before you clean, collapse or transport it.
Caution: The heating element (heating coils), of the grill, remains very hot for
some time after the grill is switched off. Be especially careful when dealing with it
and only touch it (e.g. for cleaning) once it has cooled completely (this takes about
1 hour) to avoid burns.
