For moving the camera by a remote control, use a camera ro-
tor, e. g. MONACOR TV-500PT/24 V.
For outside mounting the camera must be placed in a
weatherproof housing, e. g. MONACOR TVG-300.
6 Connections
6.1 Camera output
Connect the camera output jack VIDEO OUT (7) via a 75 Ω
RF cable (e. g. MONACOR VEC-62/10) with one or several
monitors. Watch the correct 75 Ω termination at the monitor or
with series connection at the last monitor. With a cable length
of more than 100 m a video amplifier should be inserted be-
tween camera and the long cable to compensate for cable
losses.
While using several cameras, insert a video switcher or
video splitter between cameras and monitor.

6.2 External synchronization

For large monitoring systems it is recommended to synchro-
nize all cameras with each other. By this a stable picture is ob-
tained while switching over from one camera to another so
that the picture does not roll up the screen. For this feed the
synchronisation signal (0.5 V up to TTL level) into the jack
EXT-SYNC (9).
For smaller units the jack EXT-SYNC (9) is not connected.
In this case the camera is supplied by the integrated sync os-
cillator.

6.3 Power supply

Connect an electronically regulated 12 V power supply unit to
the jack 12 V
tive pole must be at the center contact. The power consump-
tion is 250 mA.
