5 Limitations on Use

Lifting Loads

User weight and activity is governed by the stated limits.
Load carrying by the user should be based on a local risk assessment.
Environment
The device is suitable for submersion in fresh water only.
Knee must be locked while submerged, then rinsed and thoroughly dried.
Light surface corrosion affects neither the function nor the security of this device.
However, if it is heavily corroded, stop using and contact your practitioner.
Avoid exposing the device to abrasive or corrosive environments, such as those containing sand,
salt or chemically treated water e.g. swimming pools. After any exposure to such environments
rinse the device in fresh water and dry thoroughly.

6 Removing the Cosmetic Cover

If you need to adjust swing resistance, first remove the cosmetic cover to access the
adjustment cap.
To remove the cosmetic cover:
1.
Using a 2.5 mm hex key, unscrew, remove and set aside 4 x M4 hex screws and 4 x spacers
that fasten the cosmetic cover to the chassis anterior pivot and carrier anterior pivot.
2.
Pull off the cosmetic cover and set aside.
Be aware of finger trap hazards with
the cosmetic cover removed.

Removing Cosmetic Cover
Exclusively for use between -10 °C and 50 °C
(-14 °F and 122 °F).
It is recommended that only Blatchford products be
used in conjunction with the device.
