Caution: Before removing or inserting the grill plates, the appliance has to be
switched off, the power plug has to be pulled and the appliance has to be com-
pletely cooled down.
• To remove:
Push the release button on the side
of the appliance. Each grill plate has
its own release button. Take the grill
plate off of the appliance base.
• To mount:
Place the grill plates on the appliance
base so that the corners pointing
inward lie in the upper and lower
retaining jig of the appliance frame.
Then, push down on the side of grill
plates to make them audibly lock into
place. Caution: The grease gutter has
to be installed in the chassis before
the grill plates are mounted.

One at time, the halves of the splash
guard are placed in the guide rail of one
of the grill plates. The angled end of the
splash guard points to the front and the
overlap of the two splash guard halves
is at the back, where the two grill plates
meet.
