33. CAUTION: The temperatures of the appliance parts, grill
plates and the splash guard are very high during the grilling
process and even some time after! Do not touch the hot
appliance parts. Always let the appliance cool down com-
pletely first – risk of burns!
34. Only use a fire blanket to extinguish the burning appliance.
35. Always switch the appliance off with the main switch and

disconnect the power plug when not using the appliance or
before cleaning it. Let the appliance cool down completely
before disassembling, cleaning or moving the appliance.
36. Only connect the power plug resp. only switch the appliance
on if it is placed on a dry, stable, heat and moisture resistant
surface.
37. NOTE: When using the appliance for the first time, a little bit
of smoke might develop. This is normal for appliances that
heat up during use and will stop after a short period of time.
38. Pull the plug after every use. Only then, the appliance is fully
switched off.
39. Keep the appliance clean. Always switch the appliance off
and pull the plug from the power socket before cleaning and
storing the appliance. Please refer to the notes given in the
section "Cleaning and maintenance" on page 72 of this man-
ual.
40. Potential discolouration of the grill plates and scratches are
normal wear marks and are not covered by warranty.
41. Always fully unwind the power cord before connecting the
power plug to the power socket.
