9. Switching the device on/
off
 Switch the mains switch on the back of the de-
vice to ON.
 Press the
 To switch the device to standby mode, press and
hold the
on the display.
 To turn off the device completely, switch the
mains switch on the back of the device to OFF.

10. Adjusting the aerial

 Pull out the telescopic aerial on the back of the
device completely.
The aerial should be fully extended to ensure
good signal reception and sound quality.
When adjusting the telescopic aerial, the sta-
tions may have to be searched again (see
"13. Radio mode" on page 79).
