17. Insert the pressure spring and guide sleeve
into the spacer from the front.
18. Screw on the clamping sleeve together with
the clamping jaws contained in the clamping
sleeve using the appropriate two wrenches.
19. Measure whether the necessary setting
distance is achieved, see Chapter 5.7.3.
This step is not necessary on
setting tools with contact force
control.
20. If the necessary setting distance was not
achieved, loosen the clamping sleeve and
spacer again and correct the necessary setting
distance using the lock nut.

21. Check whether all connections are tight.
22. If the setting tool has an axial trigger, fit
the axial adapter and screw on using the
appropriate wrench.
23. If the setting tool has a contact force control
system, install the contact force control system
(see Chapter 5.7.4.2) and continue at work
step 25.
24. Tighten the front sleeve together with the
O-ring using the appropriate wrench.
25. Fit the nosepiece and tighten using the
appropriate wrench.
The setting tool is ready for operation.

5 .3 CLEANING THE SCREEN FILTER

The structure of the machine is
described in Chapter 2.4.
Precondition:
The setting tool is disconnected from the
compressed air supply.
A compressed air pistol is on hand.
1. Unscrew the screen filter from the setting tool
using an appropriate Allen key.
2. Remove impurities from the screen filter using
the compressed air pistol.
3. Screw the screen filter into the setting tool
using an appropriate Allen key.

5 .4 CHANGING THE HYDRAULIC OIL

WARNING
Lack of protective equipment
Serious injuries
Use only undamaged protective
equipment.
Wear protective goggles when
changing the hydraulic oil.
Wear protective gloves when
changing the hydraulic oil.
CAUTION
Impurities in the hydraulic oil
Minor injuries or material damage
Use only hydraulic oil without
impurities or air bubbles.
Use only a clean adapter for
pouring in the oil.
Use the hydraulic oil specified in the
technical data, see Chapter 2.9.
The tool is filled with hydraulic oil on
delivery.
Precondition:
Syringe, adapter and container filled with
hydraulic oil (all included in the scope of
supply) are on hand.
1. Switch off the compressed air supply.
2. Set up the setting tool in a stable position.
3. Unscrew stud collector / stud securing cap /
stud discharge tube.
4. Unscrew the oil drain plug with O-ring, see
Chapter 5.7.1.
5. Screw the adapter finger-tight into the opening
of the oil drain plug.
6. Push the empty syringe onto the adapter.
7. Switch on the compressed air supply.
8. Screw on stud collector / stud securing cap /
stud discharge tube.
9. Hold the syringe with one hand.
10. Press the trigger with the other hand.
The syringe is filled with the old hydraulic
»
oil.
11. Remove the syringe from the adapter.
12. Dispose of the old hydraulic oil in accordance
with the statutory requirements.
