Stud collector / stud securing cap / stud
discharge tube is screwed on.
The required accessory and the appropriate
nosepiece for the fastener is installed on the
setting tool.
1. Insert the fastener into the nosepiece.
2. Position the fastener with the setting tool flush
and at right angles on the part.
3. Press the trigger.
The fastener is set if the contact force was
»
sufficient.
If no stroke is triggered and the
fastener is not set, the contact force
was not sufficient or no fastener
was inserted. In this case, repeat
the process with fastener and/or a
higher contact force.
4 .5 SETTING FASTENERS WITH AXIAL
TRIGGER
For setting tools with axial trigger,
the setting tool must be attached to
a balancer with the hanger bracket
during operation. The setting of a
fastener with axial trigger functions
are described in Chapter 4.2 or
Chapter 4.3.

4 .6 EMPTYING THE STUD COLLECTOR

The stud collector should be
emptied as soon as it is approx.
75 % full.
Precondition:
The tool is disconnected from the compressed
air supply.
1.
Unscrew the stud collector.
2.
Empty the stud collector.
3.
Screw on the stud collector again.

4 .7 REMOVING SET FASTENERS

With our fasteners, the drill hole
size for the fastener is indicated
on the packaging of the respective
fastener. If fasteners from other
manufacturers are used, contact
the manufacturer for details of the
drill hole sizes.
Precondition:
A drilling machine is on hand.
1. Clamp a drill with the size of the fastener drill
hole in the drilling machine.
2. Position the drill in the middle of the fastener.
3. Carefully remove the fastener from the part by
drilling out.

5 Maintenance and repair

WARNING
Parts flying out of the machine
Serious injuries or material damage
Do not point the machine
towards persons.
Stand behind the stud collector
or stud securing cap during
operation of the machine.
Empty the stud collector at
regular intervals.
Disconnect the machine from
the energy and media supply
systems before changing tools
or accessories.
Wear impact-resistant protec-
tive goggles when operating the
machine.
Clamp the workpiece securely
before starting work.
Always test the stud holder
before starting work.
