DC-Kit4 with Dometic FreshJet1100/1700/2200/2600/3200
Roof air conditioner: Dometic FreshJet1100/1700/2200/2600/3200
Circuit diagram: fig. j, page 22
Charging current distributor: ECL-102
Inverter: SinePower MSI2312T
The light system voltage UD+ is measured. If this voltage exceeds a variable voltage
value Ue (12.5 V – 14.0 V), the relay contact 30/87 (Batt. 2/Batt. 2) of the power relay is
closed. The starter battery and the additional battery are therefore connected in parallel
with low resistance and are charged together by the light system.
Contact I2/I5 is opened with UD+ > Ue. This switches on the air conditioner.
If the light system voltage falls below a variable threshold value Ua (10.5 V – 12.5 V), due
to an increased load because of the air conditioner, relay contact 30/87 (Batt. 2/Batt. 2) is
opened. The relay contact I2/I5 is closed and switches the air conditioner compressor off.
The light system now charges the starter battery (the fans consume little power). If
the caravan has a connecting cable between the two batteries, the additional battery is
also charged.
If the charging voltage of the light system UD+ reaches the set voltage value Ue again,
the power relay and the control relay switch on again. The air conditioner compressor
starts again.
If the vehicle engine is not switched on (UD+ = 0 V), relay contact 30/87 (Batt. 2/Batt. 2)
and relay contact I2/I5 are opened. The air conditioner can be operated and only takes
power from the additional battery. If the battery voltage falls below Ubatt = 10.5 V, the in-
verter switches off.

Charging current distributor: ECL-103

The light system voltage UD+ is measured. If this voltage exceeds a variable voltage
value Ue (25 V – 28 V), the relay contact 30/87 (Batt. 2/Batt. 2) of the power relay is
closed. The starter battery and the additional battery are therefore connected in parallel
with low resistance and are charged together by the light system.
Contact I2/I5 is opened with UD+ > Ue. This switches on the air conditioner.
If the light system voltage falls below a variable threshold value Ua (21 V – 25 V), due to
an increased load because of the air conditioner, relay contact 30/87 (Batt. 2/Batt. 2) is
opened. The relay contact I2/I5 is closed and switches the air conditioner compressor off.
The light system now charges the starter battery (the fans consume little power). If
