is used for other purposes than originally intended, if it is not correctly
installed, or not repaired in an expert way.
If the camera is to be put out of operation definitively, take it to
a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
3 Applications
This colour camera in a dome housing is especially designed for use in
video surveillance systems (CCTV) and suitable for ceiling or wall
mounting. It is equipped with a zoom lens.
Via an on-screen menu the camera offers extensive adjusting facili-
ties [e. g. automatic / manual white balance, function of mirror-inverted
picture, motion detection with adjustable picture area (64 fields), four
areas which can be masked for concealing picture parts not to be mon-
itored, automatic switching between day operation (colour mode) and
night operation (B / W mode) etc.].
4 Mounting
1) Turn the housing ring (2) counter-clockwise up to the stop so that
the latches of the base (1) disengage and the housing ring with the
dome (3) can be removed.
2) To find the optimum place of mounting, a test run is recommended.
For this purpose set the camera into operation for the time being
(
chapter 5).
3) Mark three holes at the mounting place for mounting the base and
drill the holes. Guide the cable through the cable inlet at the side of
the base and mount the base with the supplied screws.
4) After all adjustments have been made, reposition the housing ring
with the dome onto the base, so that the three latches of the base
engage into the corresponding cutouts at the housing ring. Make
sure that the camera is capable of looking through the open part of
the cover. Then relock the housing ring by turning it clockwise. If
necessary, readjust the position of the cover by turning the dome.
