9.5 Video picture setting (PICTURE)
This menu is used for the perfect setting of the video signal with the help of a video monitor or
oscilloscope. The settings have a strong impact on the video picture. The factory settings are
optimised for 80% of all applications. You are recommended to keep the factory settings. To
change the settings in the submenus, use the RIGHT/LEFT keys to navigate to the desired menu
item and then press ENTER. The following submenus are provided:
VIDEO: Here you can change the settings for the average chroma for improving the colour signal-
to-noise ratio, the colour depth (hue), the brightness, the pedestal (black level), the SPRS effect
and the SPRS gain.
APERTURE: Here you can fine-tune the vertical and horizontal lines, thus optimising the picture
clarity.
GAMMA: Here you can make a gamma correction to adjust the camera for different display types
(TFT monitor, tube monitor, etc.). This is made possible by an extended dynamic range with knee
circuit.
