The gradual adjustment of the gas flame makes it easy to set the desired heat level and to adapt to cooking vessels of
different sizes.
Adjustment is done by pressing and turning the control knob counter-clockwise so that the knob's marker points to the
desired symbol:
•
dot: closed
large flame: full open
small flame: reduced flame.
The burners on your hob can be ignited "using one hand". Press the control knob, turning it anticlockwise at the same time:
several sparks will be emitted, igniting the burner. After the burner has been ignited, maintain sufficient pressure on the
knob for approximately 3-4 seconds to ensure the security device is activated.
If the flame is accidentally extinguished whilst the burner is switched on, the security device begins to operate: the gas flow
is cut off automatically. To reignite the burner, repeat the above procedure.
Note: if there is no electrical current, the burner may be ignited using a match while turning and pressing the knob as
described above.
Warning: If the flame is accidentally extinguished, turn off the control knob and wait for at least 1 minute before
trying to relight it.
Warning: To ensure that the double-flame burner is used to its full potential, never set the inside ring to minimum
and the outside ring to maximum at the same time.
·
The burners of the gas hobs are not designed for the use of concave or convex-bottomed cooking vessels.
·
We nevertheless recommend that you always use a burner that matches the size of the cooking vessel (see
table) so that the flame does not go beyond the bottom rim of the pot; the flame should heat the bottom only.
·
Do not put unstable or warped cooking vessels on the burners or on the electrical hotplates in order to avoid any
accidental spills.
·
Always be sure that the burners' control knobs are all set to the black dot "
·
As soon as a liquid begins boiling, reduce the heat of the burner to avoid boiling over.

On the models supplied with a reducer shelf, remember that this should be used only for the auxiliary burner when you use
casserole dishes with a diameter under 12 cm.
