Safety precautions

General precautions

Become thoroughly familiar with the content of this
Manual before starting, using, servicing or
operating the vacuum cleaner in any way.
–
Never allow unauthorized personnel to operate the
vacuum cleaner.
–
Never wear unbuttoned or loose clothing, which
could become caught up by the vacuum cleaner.
–
Wear appropriate clothing. Consult your employer
about the current safety provisions and specific
accident-preventing devices to use in order to
ensure personal safety.
–
The area where maintenance operations (ordinary
and extraordinary) are carried out must always be
kept clean and dry.
–
Suitable tools must always be available and
efficient.
–
Repairs must only be carried out when the vacuum
cleaner is stopped and disconnected from the
electrical mains.
–
Never carry out repairs without having first
obtained the necessary authorization.
2.2
Important warnings
–
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury:
–
Do not leave the vacuum cleaner unattended when
plugged in. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the
wall socket when not in use or before servicing.
–
Do not allow the vacuum cleaner to be used as a
toy. Close attention is necessary when used near
children.
–
The vacuum cleaner should be used only as
described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's
recommended attachments.

Do not use the vacuum cleaner if the plug or the
power cord are damaged. If the vacuum cleaner is
not working properly, has been dropped,
damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water,
return it to a Service Center.

Do not pull or carry the vacuum cleaner by the
power cord, use the power cord as an handle,
close a door on the power cord, or pull the power
cord around sharp edges or corners.
–
Do not run the vacuum cleaner over the power
cord. Keep the power cord away from heated
surfaces. Do not unplug from the socket by pulling
the power cord.
–
To unplug the power cable from the socket, grasp
the plug.
–
Do not handle the plug or the vacuum cleaner with
wet hands.
–
Do not put any objects into openings on the
vacuum cleaner body. Do not use the vacuum
cleaner if one of the openings is clogged. Keep
free of dust, lint, hair and anything that might
reduce airflow.
–
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of
body far from openings and moving parts.
–
The vacuum cleaner should never be used for
picking up hot materials. In particular, the vacuum
cleaner should never be used for cleaning open or
closed fireplaces, ovens or similar places,
containing hot or incandescent ashes.
–
Do not use the vacuum cleaner without first
installing a proper bag for dust collection and/or a
filter. Turn off all functions before unplugging the
vacuum cleaner from the electrical mains. Extra
care is necessary when using the vacuum cleaner
on stairs.
–
The vacuum cleaner should not be used to pick up
combustible substances or explosive materials,
and it should never be used in explosive
atmospheres.
–
Replace the power cord only with the type
(H07RN-F 3G1,5) indicated in the User Manual.
–
If the vacuum cleaner power cable is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, the Service
Center or a qualified technician, to avoid any kind
of risk.
