Fan only
LO: low power (1,350 W) with thermostat operation -
without sensor function
HI: high power (2,000 W), with thermostat operation -
without sensor function
THERM.\ECO sensor operation, high power with
thermostat function (ECO). If the sensor detects no-one
for 5 minutes, the heater will automatically switch off
(standby). It will resume operation on its old settings if
someone is detected within 2 metres of the heater. You
will then hear a buzzer.
(frost protection) The heater will try to keep the space
frost-free. The thermostat is permanently set to 7°C and
the sensor will not operate.
Thermostat:
The thermostat is set standard to 24 degrees. Using the + and -
buttons, you can set the thermostat higher or lower
respectively: from 5 to 32°C. Once the set temperature has been reached, the heater will
switch itself off; the fan will cool for another 30 seconds and then it too will stop. If the
temperature drops, the heater will switch itself on again. The display will continue to show
the set temperature. The display will also indicate 'THERM' under the mode to show that the
thermostat is working.
Oscillation:
Press OSC to start, and then press again to switch off.
Timer:
Press (during operation) on 'Timer' to set the amount of time before the heater should
switch itself off: the timer display will flash for a few seconds. While it is flashing, press on +
(or -) to set a time period: from 0 to 24 hours, with half hour intervals. The timer works with
all four MODE settings. The display will show the temperature again a few seconds after
setting the time period. To see how much time is left, press the timer button again.
To switch the heater off, set the main switch to O (off); this will erase all settings. Allow the
appliance to cool down for 30 seconds and remove the plug from the power socket. Always
remove the plug from the socket if the heater is not working!
Attention! The heater remains hot for some time after use!
Safety features
The heater is fitted with a tipping safeguard which automatically shuts off the appliance if it
inadvertently falls over. When the heater is returned to its upright position, it will resume
functioning as normal (you have to select MODE again) but, before reusing, switch off,
unplug and check for damage. Do not use the heater if it is damaged or malfunctioning, but
have it inspected/repaired!
In case of internal overheating, the overheating safeguard will switch the heater off. This
may occur if the heater cannot give off enough heat or if it cannot draw in enough fresh air.
As mentioned above, this is generally caused by (partially) covering the heater, obstructing
the air intake and/or outlet grills or installing the heater too close to a wall or something
similar. When the overheating safeguard switches the heater off, you must then switch off
by means of the main switch. Unplug and allow the heater to cool down. Remove and/or
amend the cause of overheating and use again, as normal. If you cannot find a cause and
overheating recurs, stop using the heater, and take it in for inspection/repair.
