Also note that, ...
... the data required to carry out the prescribed
measurement must correspond to those mar-
ked on the nameplate of SIRAX SV 824 (
signal inputs S1, S2,
A2 and
power supply H!)
... the signal input and output contact cables
should be twisted pairs and run as far as
possible away from heavy current cables!
In all other respects, observe all local regulations
when selecting the type of electrical cable and
installing them!

Notes
7.1.1 Connecting the signal inputs
In the case of switching amplifiers with monitored inputs,
signal inputs which are not connected (open-circuit signalling
circuits) cause an open-circuit input alarm.

If only one channel of a dual-channel unit is being used and
the input has to be monitored, connect a resistor (1...15 kΩ)
across the unused input. This prevents unnecessary alarms
by the red LED.
Where a contact is used instead of an active sensor and the
input has to be monitored, connect two resistors directly at
the contact as shown in Fig. 7.
7.2 Connecting the output contacts
Connect the output contact signalling leads according to
Fig. 5 resp. Table 3.

7.3 Connecting the power supply
Connect the power supply to pins a20 ( – ~ ) and c14 ( + ~ )
according to Section "7. Electrical connections".
A two-pole switch must be included in the supply connection
where facility for switching SIRAX SV 824 off is desired.
8. Operating sense
The statuses of the contact outputs controlled by the statuses
of the signal inputs may be reversed independently by
reconnecting configuration switches. Table 4 show what
