with a 120 Ω resistor (> 0 .3 W): Connect a
DMX terminating plug (e . g . DLT-123 from
IMG STAGELINE) to the output jack .
6 Operation
WARNING To prevent damage to your
eyes, never look directly into
the light source for any length
of time .
Please note that stroboscope effects and fast
changes in lighting may trigger epileptic sei-
zures with photosensitive persons or person
with epilepsy!
Important: Prior to operation, make sure that
the lock (1) of the rotary arm is disengaged
(lever in left position); otherwise, the unit may
be damaged .
Insert the blue Powercon plug of the mains
cable supplied into the Powercon jack (5) and
then turn it clockwise until it locks . (To dis-
connect the cable from the unit, pull back
the safety latch on the plug, turn the plug
counter-clockwise and remove the plug from
the jack .) Then connect the mains plug of the
cable to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz); the unit
will be switched on when connected to the
power supply . To switch off the unit, discon-
nect the mains plug from the mains socket .
Note: Never connect or disconnect a Powercon plug
while voltage is applied . Always make the Powercon
connection before making the mains connection .
When disconnecting, always disconnect the mains
connection before disconnecting the Powercon con-
nection .
Once set into operation, the unit will perform
a reset (reset of the motor control); when the
reset is completed,

7 Using the Menu

Use the buttons MENU, DOWN, UP and
ENTER (3) to operate the menu . The menu
structure can be found on page 2 .
Buttons Functions
– to call up the menu

7.1 Setting the DMX address
DMX Address
For separate control of all DMX units by means
of a DMX controller, each unit requires a start
address of its own . The start address refers to
the first DMX channel of the unit (for start ad-
dress 10, for example, the first channel of the
unit will be operated via control channel 10
of the controller) . The other DMX channels
of the unit will be automatically assigned to
the subsequent addresses .
Example: For the 37-channel mode and start ad-
dress 10, the channels 1 to 37 are assigned to the
addresses 10 to 46 . The address 47 is the next start
address available for the subsequent DMX-controlled
unit .
