Appliance not closed correctly
Sealing ring is dirty
Sealing ring is broken/worn away Replace the sealing ring (1 x year)
Steam is escaping from between
the lid and the base
pressure control valve is dirty
Not enough liquid in the
appliance
Heat supply too low
Heat supply too high
pressure control valve is dirty
The pressure control valve is not
correctly fitted
There is too much pressure in the
appliance
The pressure in the pan is to high
because the heat input is too great
The pressure control valve is
soiled, defective or not correctly
fitted
the error has been corrected. Only a slight
emergence of steam from pressure control
valve 9 is normal.
Solution
Close the appliance again
correctly
Clean the sealing ring
See previous error
Clean the pressure control valve
(see "7.2 Cleaning the pressure
cooker" on page 26)
Slowly cool down the appliance
and fill with at least 0.25 l liquid
Increase the heat supply (turn the
hob to a higher setting)
Decrease the heat supply (turn the
hob to a lower setting)
Clean the pressure control valve
(see "7.2 Cleaning the pressure
cooker" on page 26)
Fit the pressure control valve
correctly and tighten the union nut
on the inside of the lid using the
key 13.
Follow the instructions in
"6.4 Opening the pressure cooker"
on page 25
Reduce the heat input (turn the
hotplate down)
Clean the pressure control valve,
check whether it is fitted correctly
or exchange it, if necessary.
