Note: if after pressure control valve 9 has been
fitted, a lot of steam escapes at the side during
cooking, check:
• whether the fastening bolt for the pressure
control valve 9 is properly tightened
–the fastening bolt should be tightened firmly
by hand using the key 13.
• whether the protective caps in the pressure
control valve are defective or not properly fit-
ted
–unscrew the pressure control valve and
check the fit and integrity of the protective
caps. Replace any defective protective
caps where necessary.
• If none of the above measures successfully
remedies the malfunction, a new pressure
control valve must be installed.
Lid (2):
Caution! The lid should not be washed in the
dishwasher.
1. Wash the lid with hot water and washing-up
liquid.
If the lid is particularly dirty, soak it for a little
while in washing-up water.
2. Rinse the lid under clean, hot water.
3. Dry the lid with a tea towel to avoid any
water marks.
Sealing ring (7):
Please note: The sealing ring should be
replaced once a year if you use the pressure
cooker regularly. Replacements are available in
specialist shops.
1. Remove the sealing ring from the lid.
2. Rinse the sealing ring in
clean, hot water.

3. Dry the sealing ring with a tea towel.
Please note: The sealing ring should not be
squashed or deformed during storage. It is
therefore advisable to place the sealing ring
back into the lid during storage.
7.3 Storing the pressure cooker
Caution! The pressure cooker should never be
stored with the lid on. If there is no ventilation
then condensation may develop which could
lead to a build up of bad smells and may even
damage the pressure cooker.
1. The stand and steam insert can be stored in
the base (if applicable).
2. Store the sealing ring in the lid.
3. Store the base and the lid separately.
