4 Setting into Operation
4.1 Inserting the batteries
For operating the wireless microphone, two 1.5 V
batteries of size AA are required.

Always insert (rechargeable) batteries of the
same type and always replace all of them.

If the microphone is not in use for a longer period
of time, always remove the batteries to prevent
damage due to battery leakage.
Used batteries and defective rechargeable
batteries must not be placed in the household
waste. To protect the environment, always
take them to a special waste disposal, e. g.
collection container at your retailer.
1) To insert the batteries, seize the upper part of the
microphone (microphone head) and unscrew
the long microphone sleeve (3). Remove the
sleeve from the microphone to access the bat-
tery compartment on the rear side of the micro-
phone.
2) Insert the batteries with the positive and nega-
tive poles as indicated in the compartment.
3) After all settings have been made (chapters 4.3
to 4.5), replace the microphone sleeve and
screw it down. When pushing on the sleeve,
make sure to place the display window of the
sleeve over the display (1); otherwise you will
not be able to push the sleeve up to the threaded
ring (4).
4.2 Switching on the microphone
Information on the display
To switch on the microphone, push the switch (2)
upwards. The backlight of the display (1) is acti-
vated for a few seconds. The display shows the fol-
lowing information:
1. the channel group (GROUP 00 – 09)
2. the channel (CHANNEL 00 – 99)
3. the microphone sensitivity
(VOL -30 dB, -20 dB, -10 dB, 00 dB)
4. the battery status
full
Replace the batteries when the indication BATT starts
flashing.
Make the settings described in chapters 4.3 to 4.5.
Remember to switch off the microphone after
use to prevent discharge of the batteries.
4.3 Setting the transmission channel
First set a free transmission channel on the receiver
(see instruction manual of the receiver). Then set
the wireless microphone to the same channel:

Point the IR sensor (8) of the wireless microphone
towards the IR window of the receiver. The dis-
tance must not exceed 1.5 m. Make sure that there
are no obstacles between the sensor and the IR
window.
Briefly press the button ACT on the receiver.
The display backlight of the wireless microphone is
activated. Thus, the wireless microphone and the
receiver are set to the same channel group and to
the same channel (see indication on the display).
Manual setting
Set the wireless microphone and the receiver to the
same channel group and to the same channel. To
set a certain transmission frequency, find the cor-
responding channel group and channel number in
the table on pages 24 / 25.
1) Press the button SET (6) once so that the
numerals of "GROUP" start flashing.
2) While the numerals keep flashing (5 seconds
after pressing the button SET,

Note: If the numerals stop flashing before you have set
the group, press the button SET once again.
3) To set the channel number, press the button
SET repeatedly until the numerals of "CHANNEL"
start flashing.
4) Set the channel number with the button
Once the numerals stop flashing, the channel
setting has been stored.
4.4 Setting the transmission power
Set the transmission power of the wireless micro-
phone with the switch RF (7).
