3 Function
TT Pro comprises an energy efficient coil spring and a polymer torsion rod. Together, these
components reduce both shear force at the socket interface during heel strike and torsional
loads during turning. Energy that is stored in the axial spring during stance phase is returned
at toe-off to give a smooth energy efficient gait. The bearing surfaces are coated with titanium
nitride, which provides a hard-wearing low friction surface for moving parts.
4 Maintenance
Only competent personnel should carry out maintenance.
Carry out the following maintenance annually:
• Disassemble, clean, and lubricate parts as shown in sections 1–10
• Check for rotational play
• Replace the torsion rod if it's worn
Give the user the supplied user information card and advise them to report the following to the
practitioner:
• Changes in body weight or activity level
• Changes in the performance of this device, for example:
• Unusual noises or play
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth and mild soap to clean outside surfaces. Do not use aggressive cleansers.
