TO REMOVE PIVOT COVER AND BASE PLATE

With the underside of the pivot mechanism facing you ①, hold the pivot cover
and base plate at the top with one hand and with the other pull down on the
bottom of the cover to release the lower clip ②, then release the upper hook
③. Lift the base plate up to remove from the shield ④. Repeat for the other
side.

TO INSTALL PIVOT COVER AND BASE PLATE
From the inside of the shield, set the base plate into the shield so that brass stud
of the shield is in the rearward end of the sliding slot of the base plate and the
sliding slot of the shield is over the spring clip of the base plate ①.
Position upper hook on the pivot cover into seat of the base plate ②&③ and
then push on the lower part of the pivot cover so the lower clip engages with the
seat in the base plate ④. Repeat for the other side.
