remain.
How often it should be mowed basically depends
on the rate of growth of the grass. In the main
growing season (May-June) twice a week,
otherwise once a week. Cutting height should
be between 4 - 6 cm and it should be 4 - 5cm
of growth up to the next cutting. If the lawn
becomes a little longer, you should not make the
mistake of cutting it back too soon to the normal
level immediately. This damages the lawn. Never
cut back more than half of the grass height.
Keep the underside of the mower housing clean
and remove grass deposits.
Deposits impede the start-up process, affecting
the cutting quality and the grass ejection.
The cutting path is to put across the slope on
slopes. A sliding of the lawn mower can be
prevented by tilting upwards. Select the cutting
height, based on the actual grass length. Carry
out multiple passes, so that a maximum of 4cm
grass are removed all at once.
Switch off the engine before any inspections of
the blade are carried out. Remember, though,
that the blade will continue to rotate for a few
more seconds after switching off motor. Never
try to stop the blade. Regularly check whether
the blade is properly secured, in good condition
and is well-polished. In the opposite case,
sharpen or replace it. If the moving blade hits on
an object, stop the lawnmower and wait until
the blade comes to a standstill. Then check the
condition of the blade and the blade holder.
If they are damaged, they need to be replaced.
Place the power connector cable used in a
looped form in front of the socket used on the
ground. Mow away from the socket or from the
cable, making sure that the power connector
cable is always lying in the mown lawn, so that
the power connector cable is not run over by the
lawn mower.
As soon as the remaining grass remains lying
while mowing, the grass catching basket must
50
be emptied. Caution! Before removing the grass
catching basket, switch off the motor and wait
for the standstill of the cutting tool.
In order to remove the grass catching basket, lift
the grass ejecting flap with one hand and , with
one hand lift the grass catching basket by the
handle.
According to the security requirement, the grass
ejecting flap closes while the grass catching
basket hangs and closes the rear grass-ejection
opening. If any remains of grass is found hanging
at the opening, it would be appropriate to pull
the lawn mower backwards by about 1 m for
starting the motor easily.
Do not remove grass cuttings in the mower
casing or in the working tool with your hands or
feet, but with suitable tools, for example brush or
broom.
To ensure that the grass is collected properly, the
grass catching basket and especially the net must
be cleaned from the inside after use.
Hang the grass catching basket only when the
engine is switched off and when the cutting tool
comes to a standstill.
Lift the grass ejector flap with one hand and hold
the grass catching basket with the other hand by
the handle and hang it from above.
7. Replacement of the power cable
Danger!
If the power cable of this equipment is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
his customer service or by a similarly qualified
person in order to prevent hazards.
