• Be careful with devices with multiple cutting
tools, since the movement of a blade could lead
to the rotation of the rest of the knives.
• Use only replacement parts and accessories,
which are delivered by the manufacturer and
are recommended by him. The use of foreign
parts will lead to immediate loss of the guarantee
claim.
Working with the device:
Do not keep your feet and hands close
to or under the rotating parts while
working. There is a danger of injury!
Please comply with noise protection
and the local regulations. The use of the
device can be limited or prohibited on
specific days (e.g. Sundays and holidays),
during certain times of the day (lunch
hours, night's sleeping time) or in specific
areas (e.g. health resorts, hospitals etc..).
• Switch on the engine as per instruction and
only then if your feet are in a safe distance from
the cutting tools.
• Do not use the appliance in the rain, during
poor weather conditions, in damp surroundings
or in wet grass. Work only in daylight or good
lighting.
• Do not work with the device, if you feel tired or
sleepy or after the intake of alcohol or tablets.
Always take a break from work at the right time.
Proceed wisely with the work.
• Make sure that you are working on a secure
positioning, especially on slopes. Work always
across slopes, never upwards or downwards. Be
especially careful when you are changing the
direction of motion on the slope.
Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
• Use the device only at walking speed. Be
especially careful if you turn the device
upside down, pull it close to you or if you walk
backwards.
• Switch on the device with caution according to
the instructions in this manual. Make sure there
is adequate distance between your feet and the
rotating knives.
• Do not tilt the device when starting, except if
this is required when starting up in high grass. In
this case tilt the device by pressing the bow-type
handle so that the front wheels of the machine
are slightly raised. Always check if both your
hands are in working position before the device
is put back on the floor again.
• Never work without grass sack or impact
protection. Keep away from the eject-opening
always.
Caution Danger! The blade continues to
run.
There is a danger of injury.
• The device should not be lifted or transported,
as long as the engine is running.
Switch off the appliance if it has to be tilted for
transporting, when surfaces other than lawns
have to be crossed and if the device has to be
brought to and from the surfaces that are to be
mowed.
• Keep the opening for the ejection of grass
always clean and free. Remove the grass cuttings
only at the standstill of the device
• Do not ever leave the appliance unattended in
the workplace.
• Do not work with a damaged or incomplete
device or a device which has been modified
without the approval of the manufacturer. Never
use the appliance with damaged protective-
devices or shields or if safety devices such as
