13. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS: For the correct use and understanding of this canopy it is
recommended that this manual is thoroughly read and understood. Failure to do so may result
in damage to this canopy.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Disconnect the plug of all electrical equipment used for the aquarium, before placing
your hands in aquarium water and/or performing any maintenance of any kind.
Instructions for attaching the decorative strips onto the top frame of
the Roma Aquarium
1.
Before you begin, verify you have a complete set of decorative strips.
Decide which of the two colour options best suits your home and then
place each strip against the correct position on the top frame of the light
canopy.
2.
Clean the surface of any dust or dirt with a damp cloth prior to
application. Do not use harsh or abrasive detergents which may damage
the surface.
3.
Dry the surface thoroughly.
4.
Peel back part of the fi lm from one end of the decorative strip and adhere the edge of it in the
appropriate seat on the top frame.
5.
Ensure the applied edge is stuck securely and gently follow along the entire length of the strip, peeling
back the clear fi lm and taking care to keep the strip correctly aligned.
6.
Once the entire strip is positioned in place, press fi rmly along the full length to ensure it is fully
adhered.
7.
Proceed as previously indicated for each decorative strip.

GLO Fluorescent Bulbs Installation
WARNING: Fluorescent tubes are made of glass. Handle Strip Lights and tubes with care.
(Follow these instructions whenever installing fl uorescent tubes in this Strip Light)
1.
Disconnect the Strip light from the power supply.
WARNING: Be sure you unplug the power cord; switching off the lights with the switch on the lead
is NOT enough.
2.
Remove the Strip Light from the aquarium and place it with the fl uorescent tubes facing up on a solid
surface, far enough from the aquarium to avoid parts accidentally falling into the water.
3.
Take the 2 lamp-holder fi ttings and ensure that the gaskets are properly positioned.
4.
Slide the two threaded fi ttings with gaskets onto the Glo fl uorescent tube, towards the
middle, so that the threads are facing the ends of the fl uorescent bulb (as shown in
diagram 1).
5.
Carefully insert the pins of the Glo fl uorescent tube into the lamp-holder slots until it
clicks.
6.
Carefully support the lamp-holders by one hand and gently screw the threaded fi ttings
with the other hand (as shown in diagram 2). Firmly hand-tighten these fi ttings, the use of
any tool is not recommended. These units are plastic, avoid cross-threading the fi ttings.
WARNING: To prevent moisture entering the lamp socket and corrosion
of the electrical contacts, fully tighten threaded fi ttings onto socket.
Ensure there are no visible threads or a gap between lamp socket and
threaded fi ttings. Ensure threaded fi ttings are not cross threaded onto
lamp socket.
