Volumetric ultrasonic sensor
Fit the transducers at the top of the 'A'
pillars each side of the windscreen, taking care that they are not covered when the sunvisors
are down.
If the car is equipped with sliding sunroof, do not fit the transducers on the dashboard.
Check the right position of the transucers during the functional test of the system.
No adjustment is required for the volumetric ultrasonic sensors. It is suitable for every kind of
vehicle indipendent of the compartment volume.
When transducers are not connected or the originals transducers are present yet, insert the
jumper (code 05FA0230A) into the RX connector.
Glass break sensor (if applicable)
Fit the microphone in a central position in the passenger compartment. Eg. on the dashboard, pointing
towards the rear window. This position achieves uniform sensitivity. The sensor can be used in conjunction
with the ultrasonic volumetric sensor. Drawings in the central part of this manual shows different connection
methods.
