3.3/ EMISSION MODE
Prior to any simulation, it is preferable, even necessary, to configure your instrument
according to the type of application (chapter 3.1. Configuration).
Connections
With the instrument switched off, connect the output (instrument to be calibrated) to the OUT
and COM terminals of model C.A 61, or the OUT terminals of models C.A 63 and C.A 65. Take
care to respect the polarities indicated on the case of your instrument.

(1) Warning: respect the direction of the current. In case of reversal, the simulated resistance
is infinite (probe cut off).
Emission/simulation
Setting the values to be generated is easily done by means of the two cursor move buttons
Even if the digits on the left do not appear on the display, it is nevertheless possible to position
the cursor to activate and modify them.
With model C.A 61, when the cursor is positioned on the digit on the right, pressing the

25%, depending on the unit chosen.
The ranges of values that your calibrator can generate are detailed in the metrological
specifications (see chapter 4.3.2). Beyond, an audible "beep" warns the user of overrange.
With your instrument correctly configured and connected, proceed as shown on next page.
