How to Install

PROPER WIDTH
Measure the width of the opening where the gate will be installed. Be sure to measure at the
narrowest point. For example, include any baseboards in your measurement.
Your gate fits openings from 29.5 to 40.6 inches wide using the included extensions. DO NOT
attempt to install this gate for any other sizes. Longer extension kits that allow this gate to fit
wider openings are available for purchase with same day shipping at www.munchkin.com.
See the extensions chart on page 5 for the proper extension configuration for your opening.
ADDING EXTENSIONS
If your opening is between 29.5 and 32.3 inches wide, you DO NOT
need to add any extensions. Please skip to the next section: Gate
Placement. For openings wider than 32.3 inches, attach at least one
extension before installation.
On one side of the gate, remove the plastic plugs from

the top and bottom corners and put them aside for now.
You may need to use a flathead screwdriver to remove
the plugs.
Insert the extension into the top extension adapter and

bottom extension adapter. Then, insert the adapters
into the open pockets where you removed the plugs.
Re-insert the plugs that you removed earlier into the

open pockets of the extension adapters. Be sure to
insert the plugs with the correct side facing up (the hole
should be closer to the top).
For medium and large extensions, plastic plugs only need
to be inserted in the lower end.
4. If an additional extension(s) is required, repeat this
procedure on the other side of your gate.
