Having properly positioned and installed the pellet stove, connect it to the electrical mains (230 V / 50
Hz). The power cord receptacle is on the back panel of the pellet stove (and marked "PS"). A suitable
and properly sized power cord is included with the pellet stove.
CAUTION: The hearth door handle and other parts of the pellet stove can become hot during
operation. An acrid odour or some smoke from the pellet stove during the first few uses is
perfectly normal. It is caused by curing (polymerisation) of the paint coats on several compo-
nents of the pellet stove. It will cease after several heating cycles.
FILLING THE PELLET HOPPER
The pellet hopper is to the left from the hearth combustion chamber and inside the housing of the
pellet stove. Lift the pellet hopper cover to access the pellet hopper.
Fig. 9. Opening the pellet hopper
The pellet hopper has a storage capacity of approx. 15 kg. With the pellet hopper cover open, place the
pellet bag on the grate inside. Next, cut the pellet bag open at the bottom with a blade and pour out
the pellets into the hopper. Fire the pellet stove with wooden pellets only. Do not keep wooden pellets
within the minimum clearance from the pellet stove.
CAUTION: When adding pellets to the pellet hopper while the pellet stove is in operation,
keep the pellet bag away from all hot surfaces.
Do not remove the grate from the pellet hopper. Never pour the pellets directly into the com-
bustion chamber of the hearth!
Most of the surface of the pellet stove (the hearth door, the door handle, the glass pane, the flue ducts,
etc.) is very hot during use and for some time after use. Do not touch these parts before the pellet
stove cools down.
