General Description

• The Altair 4 QuickCheck Station is designed to
test the Altair 4 Gas Detector and verify instrument:
• response to gas (bump check) within specific tolerances, as
explained in Chapter 2, Operation
• alarm functionality.
• The Test Station:
• uses a microphone to detect the instrument audible alarm
• electronically checks the instrument visual LED alarms
• tests instrument response to a known gas concentration
The calibration cylinder concentrations must match
the instrument calibration setting; otherwise, instrument
readings may be incorrect.
• is compatible with all Altair 4 Detector configurations
• has four bi-color LED indicators:
• Alarm Test LED
• Gas Test LED
• Pass LED
• Fail LED
• does not detect vibrating alarm functionality.
