After successfully establishing the con-
nection the main screen will display the
readout protocol, and in vehicles made
in 2002 or later the VIN (vehicle identi-
fication number) (see Image 2):

▪ If the symbol for the malfunction indi-
cator light (MIL) is lit, DTC error
codes will be read from the vehicle's
engine control unit. You can now
switch to the DTC menu to read out
and, if needed, delete the error codes
by directly touching the symbol for
the malfunction indicator light (MIL).
Deleting the error code will clear the
malfunction indicator light (MIL) from
the display.
▪ If no DTC error codes or no error
messages are read from the vehicle's
engine control unit, the symbol for
the malfunction indicator light (MIL)
will not appear.

to repeat the connection process

display to the left.
▪ To access set-up mode press and
hold the screen for 3 seconds.
