4.3 Substructure for Roof-integral
Installation
Do not attach safety belts to the roof-integral
installation.
1.
Remove the roof covering in the area the panels
are to be fitted. The uncovered area must be
greater than the dimensions shown on chapter
4.1 Dimensions page 12

Caution:
Sufficient rear ventilation of the roof-integral
installation set must be ensured by appropriate
measures (e.g. cross-battens). A waterproof
membrane underneath the roof covering is
absolutely essential.

Centre the bottom horizontal fixing batten (37)
horizontally in the uncovered area of roof. Fix the
bottom horizontal fixing batten (37) to the cross-
battens with a perpendicular separation of
220 mm from the roof batten below it using the
screws (16) as shown in the next illustration.
Ascertain the horizontal measurement for the
bottom left cover plate as follows:
- Replace the last covering roof tile (bottom left)
and mark its right-hand edge on the bottom
horizontal fixing batten (37), then remove the
tile again.
Measure 110 mm to the left from the position
marked = Start of bottom cover plate
Note:
The horizontal fixing battens (37) are designed
for roof battens (32) with a thickness of 30 mm. If
the roof battens are thicker, the horizontal fixing
battens (37) must be suitably lined.
Note:
Use size 6x70 screws (16) for attaching the
horizontal fixing battens.
Do not confuse with the sealing screws (39)!
