Using "dynamic sound HS" to improve your sound
experience
With "dynamic sound HS", you have the possibility to find the ideal setting
for your hearing experience. The integrated "dynamic sound HS" provides
five selectable dynamic hearing profiles. These always calculate the sound
dynamically according to the respective settings and are specially designed
for users with hearing loss. "dynamic sound HS" is based on an algorithm
developed by the German Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology
IDMT in Oldenburg, which represents the latest in intelligent soundscape
generation. The input signal is divided into different bands and each band
is changed in its dynamic range. This change depends on the volume and
sound profile selected on the transmitter. Finally, the sound is individualized
on the separate frequency bands. After the separate frequency bands have
been combined to form an overall signal, the system reproduces the sound.
This is calculated dynamically and continuously in real time, so that the ide-
al adjustment is guaranteed for you at all times. The speech reproduction is
calculated differently than, for example, music.
You can choose the most convenient sound profile for you from a choice of
5. The selected profile is saved.
The following profiles can be selected:
1. strong sound alteration in the low frequency range
2. minor sound alteration in the low frequency range
3. no change
4. minor sound alteration in the high frequency range
5. strong sound alteration in the high frequency range
There are two ways to select preferred sound profile:
1. Press the tone control button on the bottom left of the receiver to select
the desired profile. You can identify the set profile on the transmitter by the
5 sound profile indicator LEDs.
