Electrical connection

DANGER! Electrical voltage! Risk of electric shock that may result in serious injury or death!
Installation, service and repair tasks may only be carried out by authorised Customer Service.
D Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician-
− according to the applicable VDE 0100 regulations and
− the regulations of the power supply company concerned.
D An electrical main switch must be installed upstream with easy access. The switch must ef­
fectively disconnect the appliance at all poles from the mains. The contact opening must be
at least 3 mm.
D Instruct the owner and the operating personnel where the main switch provided in the kit­
chen for the appliance is located so that the appliance may be switched off without danger in
the event of hazards to the user.
D Install ground fault circuit interrupter for safety reasons. Important for induction appliances:
Use short­term delayed, AC/DC­sensitive residual­current devices (RCD) ≥ 30 mA.
D Observe the data on the type plate when making the electrical connection.

Maintenance

D Have the appliance inspected and serviced at regular intervals. Maintenance work includes:
e.g. safety, function and leak testing.
D Installation, maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by professional electri­
cians.
D Use only original accessories and original replacement parts.
D We recommend agreeing a maintenance contract with customer service.
