The IKAR mobile sleeve, compact is a component of the mobile anchor device extension arm
according to EN 795 type B:2012, CEN/TS 16415:2013-04 of type IKAR AASS-1 and ASS-1. The
sleeve is not connected to the ground and can be transported to the next operating site together
with the extension arm. Use the mobile sleeve, compact together with the IKAR extension arm
only.

Failure to follow these instructions may result in danger to life.

A rescue operation plan must be in place considering all potential emergencies which may arise
during work.

The equipment may be operated by accordingly qualified and instructed personnel only. The
personnel must not suffer from any health impairments (e.g. dependence on alcohol, drugs,
medication; circulatory problems)!
5.
The IKAR mobile sleeve, compact must be properly installed; see section "Preparation for Use".

The IKAR mobile sleeve, compact must be installed in a horizontal position, i.e. vertically aligned
towards the sleeve and in a stable position.

Prior to installation of the IKAR mobile sleeve, compact, it must be tested whether the load-
bearing capacity of the installation space is sufficient and whether it is solid enough to withstand
the expected load of the extension arm in an unfavourable load position following a fall.

The admissible load of the anchor device conforms to EN 795 Type B:2012 to secure one person
and to CEN/TS 16415:2013 to secure a maximum of 2 persons.

Prior to each use of the equipment, check the legibility of the product identification on the IKAR
mobile sleeve, compact.
10. If the equipment is damaged or affected by a fall, or if any doubt exists with regard to the
safe state of the equipment, remove it from use immediately! It may be reused only following
inspection by a qualified person and a written release. Any repairs may be performed by the
manufacturer only.
11. As required, but every 12 months at a minimum, the equipment must be inspected by the
manufacturer or a person trained and authorised by the manufacturer. The inspection must be
documented in the inspection books included with delivery. The effectiveness and reliability of the
IKAR mobile sleeve, compact and the IKAR extension arm require regular inspection.
12. Observe DGUV rules 112-198 and 112-199.
13. Protect the IKAR mobile sleeve, compact and the IKAR extension arm against any impact of
welding flames and sparks, fire, acids, alkaline solutions as well as extreme temperatures and
corrosive environments.
14. The admissible temperature range falls between -30° and +50° Celsius.
15. Do not apply any modifications or upgrades to the equipment in order to avoid any danger to life.
