CAUTION
Refit the battery only 5-10 minutes after disconnecting the charger as
the battery keeps producing gas for a brief time.
Extended periods of inactivity
If the vehicle is not used for more than fifteen days, it is necessary to
recharge the battery to avoid sulphating:
•
Remove the battery and put it away in a cool and dry place.
In wintertime or when the vehicle is out of use for prolonged periods, check
charge level frequently (about once a month) to prevent deterioration.
•
Fully recharge with an ordinary charge.
If the battery is still on the vehicle, disconnect the cables from the terminals.
Replacing the fuses
The fuse box,1 is located are located under the fuel tank for both models (CBS
and ABS) while, the fuse box, 2 is located under the cover side right.
To access to the fuses, remove:
•
Seat (see page 29).
•
Fuel tank (see page 30).
•
Side cover (right) [see pages 33-34].
Check fuses in case of failure or irregular functioning of an electrical
component or engine starting failure.
CAUTION
•
Do not repair faulty fuses.
•
Never use a fuse that is different than what is specified to prevent
damages to the electrical system or cause short circuits, and a
risk of fire.
•
A fuse that blows frequently, may indicate a short circuit or
overload. If occurs, consult an official Mondial dealer.
