7. Push the start button (9).
8. There is a starter on the vehicle, controlled by the control unit, that
starts working automatically whenever is necessary (cold start).
9. Engage at least one brake lever and do not accelerate until you set off.
To avoid excessive battery consumption, do not hold down the
starter button (9) more than ten seconds.
If the engine turns off accidentally or does not startup, the engine
control unit allows the restart within the next five seconds. After this
9
period, the engine control unit will prevent the startup for another
two seconds, only then engine can restart. Press the start button (9)
but do not accelerate and release it as soon as the engine starts.
CAUTION
Avoid pressing the start button (9) when the engine already run, as
this could damage the starting motor. If the general warning light (10)
is on, this is the engine control unit (ECU) system failure.
If the engine oil pressure warning light (7) is displayed, this means
7
that the oil pressure in the circuit is too low.
Do not set off suddenly when engine is cold. Ride at low speed
for several kilometers, this will allow the engine to warm up and
reduce polluting emissions and fuel consumption.
If the engine trouble warning light (10) is on during regular
8
engine operation, this means that the engine control unit has
detected a problem.
