Changing the battery

5.1 Changing the battery
If the battery symbol (8) appears in the upper left corner of
the display, the battery must be changed.
Separate the Clamp Meters from any circuit, and re-
move the test leads.
Switch the instrument off.
Open the cover by removing the screw on the rear fa-
ce.
Remove the old battery.
Fit new batteries (type 1,5 V IEC LR03), taking care
that the polarity is correct. Make sure that no wires
are trapped between the cover, and close it again.
The instrument is now ready for further use.
Please think of our environment when you dispose of
your used batteries. They belong in a rubbish damp or
a retuse collection place for hazardous waste.
Please, comply with the appropriate regulations con-
cerning the return, recycling and disposal of used bat-
teries.
If the instrument is likely to remain unused for a long
period, the battery must be removed. If a battery
should leak inside the housing, return the instrument
to our works for cleaning and checking.
