The UNITEST Clamp Meter 93539 has been manufactured
and tested to comply with the safety regulations for elec-
tronic measuring equipment contained and left our works
in a safe condition. To maintain this condition, the user
must observe the safety instructions contained in this In-
struction Manual.
This current clamp meter is specified with CAT II and pollu-
tion degree 2 acc. IEC 61010, EN 61010.
CAT II:
Overvoltage category II is valid for electrical equipment
where no lightning voltages must be considered but where
excessive voltages might be generated by control equip-
ment, e.g. switch gear. Electrical equipment belonging to
this category, for example, domestic appliances which do
not have a transformer between internal circuitry and
mains
Pollution Degree 2:
Only non-conductible contamination occurs. Occasionally,
temporary conductibility due to dew may occur.
Location of application, e.g.: industry, laboratory
In order to avoid electrical shock, the valid safety and VDE
regulations regarding excessive contact voltages must re-
ceive utmost attention, when working with voltages ex-
ceeding 75V (60V) DC or 50V (25V)rms AC. The values in
brackets are valid forlimited ranges (as for example medi-
cine and agriculture).
Prior to measurement ensure that the test leads and the
test instrument are in perfect condition.
