be set to their default values. The display will show
'Welcome to Digital Radio' and the unit will behave as
when first switched on.
If you do not wish to carry out a system reset, highlight
'No' and then press the Tuning control. The display will
revert back to the previous display.
In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge,
reset the product using the above procedure. In some
circumstances it may be necessary to disconnect and
then reconnect the mains power in order to resume
normal operation.
Auxiliary input socket
Two 3.5mm Auxiliary input sockets are provided on the
front panel and on the right side of your radio to permit an
audio signal to be fed into the unit from an external audio
device such as an iPod, MP3 or CD player.

Connect a stereo or mono audio source (for example,
iPod, MP3 or CD player) to the Auxiliary input socket
(marked 'Aux In').

Press the Standby to switch on your radio.

Press the Source button until the Auxiliary Input band is
selected.

Adjust the Volume control on your iPod, MP3 or CD
player to ensure an adequate signal and then adjust
the volume on the radio for comfortable listening.

IMPORTANT
Never use the Aux-In socket in rainy or moist conditions
to prevent moist from entering the radio. Always keep
the rubber cover on the back well closed under these

conditions.
Setting the Backlight timeout
Your radio can set the length of time before the backlight
turns off. The backlight timeout setting can be adjusted
between ON,10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 and 180 seconds.
1.
Access the menu for the current mode by pressing and
hold the Menu button.
2.
Rotate the Tuning control until 'System' appears on the
display. Press the Tuning control to enter the setting
menu.
3.
Rotate the Tuning control until 'Backlight' is shown on
the display. Press the Tuning control to enter the setting
menu.
4.
Rotate the Tuning control to select the desired time.
The options are ON, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, or 180
seconds.
5.
Your radio will switch off the backlight after the preset
time has elapsed.
NOTE
The backlight timeout setting is only applicable when
your radio is turned on. When your radio is put to
standby mode, for the sake of power saving, backlight
will be turned off.
Charging with USB socket
Your radio has a USB socket which is intended only for
charging an iPhone or smart phone and similar devices.
Charge time may vary and in some cases may take longer

to charge than when using the manufacturers charging
unit supplied with the smart phone.
You can use the USB jack charging function by following
the procedure below.
1.
Press the Standby button to switch on your radio.
2.
Press and hold the Menu button until the Advanced
menu of the current mode shows on the display.
3.
Rotate the Tuning control until 'System' appears on
the display. Then press the Tuning control to enter the
setting menu.
4.
Rotate the Tuning control until 'USB Charge' appears
on the display. Then press the Tuning control to enter
the setting menu.
5.
Rotate the Tuning control to select the desired setting.
The options are On or Off. Select On if you want
to charging with USB socket. If you do not want to
charging with USB socket select the No option. Then
press the Tuning control to confirm the setting.
IMPORTANT
● The USB jack can only provide power for the USB
memory stick only with 1A 5V maximum and most
of iPhone models. However, it does not support
external Hard disk drive and all mobile phones and
electronic device.
● The maximum volume of the output power speaker
will decrease when your USB is charging.
● The charger may not supply power to some USB
devices.
● When not using or after charging, remove the USB
cable and close the cover.
● Do not connect power source to USB port. Otherwise
there is risk of fire. The USB port is only intended
for charging lower voltage device. Always place the
cover onto the USB port when not charging the lower
voltage device.
● Do not insert a nail, wire, etc. into USB power supply
port. Otherwise a circuit short may cause smoke and
fire.
● Do not connect this USB socket with your PC
USB port, as it is highly possible that it may cause
breakdown of the units.
● Never use the USB socket in rainy or moist
conditions to prevent moist from entering the radio.
Always keep the rubber cover on the back well
closed under these conditions.
WARRANTY
This radio has a 2 year limited warranty.
WARNING! Warranty becomes void once the radio cabinet
has been opened or any modifications or alterations to the
radio have been made!
The terms of the warranty of this radio do not cover the
following:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, alterations,
accidents or unauthorised repair.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Breaking or bending of the antenna.
- Batteres, being consumables, do not fall under the 2
year warranty conditions of the radio.
