Safety notices for bicycles
• No tandems may be transported on the bike carrier.
• Fix bicycle parts: Ensure that you do not lose any bicycle parts (side stands, bells, saddle)
when driving! Bicycle accessories such as child seats, air pumps, e-bike batteries, battery
lights, navigation devices, bicycle computers, tool bags, baskets and luggage carries may not
be attached to the bicycle during transport!
The bike carrier and the trailer coupling may be damaged by excessive wind loads. Remove all
panniers from the bicycle before starting the journey. Do not use any protective covers, tarpau-
lins, plastic coverings or similar on the bicycle during transport.
• Warning: In installing bicycles, ensure that these do not project more than 400 mm from the
outer edge of the lighting devices of the coupling bike carrier or from the outline of the vehicle!
• Indication of the load: If the load projects more than 40 cm from the outer edge of the light-
emitting surface of the limiting or stop lights of the rear carrying system, and, for the side, more
than 40 cm from its edge and at most 1.5 m over the road, this must be indicated, if necessary,
by a lamp with a white light toward the front, or with a red light toward the rear.
• Caution: If you are installing the coupling bike carrier on the trailer coupling of your vehicle, the
engine must be shut off, the ignition switched off, and the hand brake activated!
• Warning: Do not cover bicycles with cloth during drives.
• Warning: In installing bicycles, be aware that the heavier of the two bicycles must be installed on
the inner track. The main focus of the load must lie as low and as near the vehicle as possible.
• Warning: For some bicycles, it might be necessary to turn the handlebar. Pay attention to the
position of the pedals.
• Warning: Dismantle the bike carrier before having the vehicle washed at a car wash!
• All persons who use your vehicle with the installed bike carrier must be informed about these
safety notices. For transfer of this product to a third party, please pass on these operating inst-
ructions with the associated safety notices! The product may not be changed!
• Note: For reasons of the safety of other road users and energy savings (fuel consumption), the
bike carrier must be removed if it is not being used.
• Note: Retain the European Operating Permit (EEC) contained in the scope of delivery among
your vehicle papers. Keep the EEC ready for possible inspections!

the safety of third parties. The manufacturer waives all responsibility for possible injuries or
damages to property or persons which are caused by improper installation, excessive speed,
or through improper driving behaviour. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages to pro-
perty or persons.

2. Proper use

The coupling bike carrier is for the transport of 3 bicycles on the trailer coupling of a vehicle. This
vehicle must be equipped with a type-approved trailer coupling. The coupling bike carrier must be
assembled in accordance with these operating instructions. During driving, the corresponding le-
gal determinations (permitted highest speed, highest permitted total weight, etc.) must be upheld.
In particular, the maximum permitted support load of the trailer coupling must be observed. With
each use of this product, the following information must be taken into consideration: The bike car-
rier is a safe product, as long as it is used correctly. If, in contrast to this, it is not used correctly, it
can lead to injuries to you and to other road occupants driving behind you.
