GENERAL ROUTING OPERATIONS USING THE ROUTER
TABLE
WARNING
Note that, when installed upside-down in a router table, the direction of cutter bit rotation will
be COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
1. Always plug the router into the switch-controlled outlet in the router table. Never plug a table-
mounted router into another power source.
2. Make sure that the router table switch is turned off and unplug the router table.
3. Coarsely adjust the cutting depth of the router before attaching it to the table. Use the 4mm
hex wrench (not included) for precise depth adjustment over-table after the router is attached
to the table.
4. Adjust the fence assembly to support the workpiece to be cut.
5. Set the ON/OFF switch on the router to the ON position.
6. Reconfirm that all router adjustments are securely locked before supplying power to the
router.
7. Plug the power cord for the router table into a power source.
8. Turn on the power to the router table by pulling up on the router table ON/OFF switch.
9. Always control the power to the router with the router-table ON/OFF switch whenever the
router is mounted to the table.
10. Always feed the workpiece from RIGHT to
LEFT (Fig. 15a).
NOTICE: The workpiece must always be held
tightly against the fence.
