Designation: Spray gun

USE FOR INTENDED PURPOSE

The Mignon 3 spray gun is designed to allow coating of
surfaces with liquid to lowviscosity coating materials.
Typical coating substances are, for example, lacquers,
paints, adhesives, glazes, enamel, release agents etc.

FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE

The coating material is fed to the spray gun either under
pressure (pump and pressure containers for large volu-
mes of coating material) or via a screwmounted flow or
suction cup (for small volumes).
If only small amounts of coating material are processed,
it is advisable to use flow or suction cups. Suction cups
should only be used with lowviscosity coating materials.
During suction operation, the air consumption of the
spray gun is higher, as the coating material is transpor-
ted against the force of gravity.
The spraying process is activated when the trigger is
pressed and stopped when the trigger is released.
The coating material is atomised using compressed air.
The scope and shape of the jet and the spray volume of
the coating material can be adjusted by:
choosing between various air and material nozzles
changing the atomiser air pressure
changing the coating material pressure
adjusting the needle stroke on the regulator of the
spray gun
adjusting the flat jet regulator on the spray gun
The Mignon 3 spray gun is available in various designs:
Coating material feed:
via screw-mounted flow or suction cup with capaci-
ties from 65 to 300 ml
via hose lines on the handle of the gun
via hose on the head section
Compressed air feed
via hose on the handle of the gun
via hose on the main element

Type: Mignon 3
The spray gun is made of the
following materials: aluminium
(head section), stainless steel
(needle and nozzle), brass and plastic (gaskets).
The flow and suction cups are made of aluminium, cop-
per or plastic.
Check to ensure that the materials of which the spray
gun is made are compatible with the coating materials
used!

THE OPERATOR MUST CHECK THE COMPATIBILITY
OF THE GUN MATERIALS WITH THE COATING SUB-
STANCE TO BE USED. TO ENSURE COMPATIBILITY,
REFER TO THE SAFETY DATA SHEET SUPPLIED BY
