• Lift the stand locking lever with one hand, whi-
le holding the bicycle saddle without the other
so that the bicycle does not fall over. (fig. 33)
I
• Lift the bicycle and move it from the stand.
• The stand can then be closed so that it takes
up less space. In this case it is advisable to re-
move all the cables and put them in a dry place
together with the console and USB key (Ref. 34).
• During long periods of inactivity and in case
of long travels, it is advisable to completely re-
move the resistance unit from the trainer base
and store it in it's original packaging.
Whenever the roller has to be shipped for
assistance or for some other reason, special
attention must be paid to ensure its correct
packing.
• Remove the resistance unit from stand, un-
doing the 2 screws fixing it to the support plate.
• Disconnect all cables from the resistance unit
(8 pin cable – power output cable – cadence sen-
sor cable).
• Disconnect the 8 pin cable and the USB cable
from the console.
• Disconnect the USB cable from the PC.
• Remove the cadence sensor from the bicycle
frame.
• Put the cables, cadence sensor, power adap-
ter console and USB key inside a container in a
dry place.
• Pack the resistance unit in its original box. If

PACKING
this box is not available, pack the unit, paying
particular attention to the flywheel. During
shipments, packs often undergo mistreatment
and very hard impacts, therefore inadequate
packing can result in permanent damage to the
roller. This type of damage is not covered by the
warranty. Pack the roller as though it had to be
dropped with box from a height of 1 meter.
Note: before sending the roller or any other
component assistance, always firstly consult
Elite or the distributor.
33
ATTENTION
• Keep people, children and animals away from
the roller during use, since the moving and rota-
ting parts of the roller and the bicycle can cause
damage in case of contact.
• Before starting training, position the trainer in
a dry place, away from potentially hazardous
objects (furniture, tables, chairs, etc.) in order to
avoid any risk of inadvertent or accidental con-
tact with them.
• The resistance unit becomes warm when in use.
Wait until it has cooled before touching shells.
34
• Do not brake when using the trainer, as this can
permanently damage the roller and the tyre.
• The stand is designed for use by just one cyclist.
• Check the safety and stability of the bicycle be-
fore every training session.
• If the quick release is not compatible with the
bushings of the stand, replace it with the one
supplied (T).
• There are no individually usable components
on the inside. The warranty is invalidated if the
unit is opened or tampered with.
• Since the feet are made from soft non-slip ma-
terial, during use they may leave rubber marks
on the floor.
• During use of the RealTour with Elastogel rol-
ler, slight wear of the roller is to be considered
normal. Tests carried out at Elite show that af-
ter continuous use for 20,000 km, roller wear is
around 0.1 mm, and as the total thickness is 10
mm, far greater wear does not prevent correct
operation of the trainer.
