6.7 CONFIGURING THE EXPRESSION PEDAL CONNECTED TO THE [EXP]
CONNECTOR
As described in par. 3.2, any type of expression pedal can be connected to the [EXP] connector on the rear
panel. There are two types of expression pedals on the market ("direct" or "inverse", see image below),
therefore when connecting a pedal it is necessary to select its type through the EXPRESSION PEDAL TYPE
function.
1.
Press the [REVERB] and [ROTARY] buttons simultaneously until the display shows the message "EPt".
2.
Press [VALUE +] or [VALUE -] to select:
- "Pdd": PEDAL DIRECT mode, for "direct" expression pedals such as the Yamaha FC7 (see image
below).
- "PdI": PEDAL INVERSE mode, for "inverse" expression pedals such as the Fatar VP/25, (see also
image below).

Furthermore, it is also possible to adjust the level of the audio signal when the expression pedal is at its
minimum.
1.
Press the [REVERB] and [ROTARY] buttons simultaneously until the display shows the message "EPM".
2.
Press [VALUE +] or [VALUE -] to select:
- "Mut": MUTE mode, there is no signal.
- "nor": NORMAL mode, the signal is attenuated but not muted.
