Basic operation

Structure of the device and power supply

To avoid damage to the product, follow the assembly instructions, which can be found in
the product packaging. Always set up the device on a suitable surface only, e.g. a stable
table.
The camera  is equipped with a cover . Open the camera cover and move it to the
designated position (see illustration on fold-out pages A1 and A2). If the icon is dis-
played, the camera cover has not been opened.
You can adjust the height of the screen and its tilt angle on the monitor itself.
Connect the power adapter to a suitable device plug. Connect its cable to the connection
for the power adapter . Then plug the power adapter into the power socket.
The charging control LED  lights up while the device is being charged.
To fold the device, follow the assembly instructions, which can be found in the product
packaging. Keep the assembly instructions for later use.
Turning on/off
Press the On/Off button . The camera icon will appear on the screen  after a few
seconds. Icons briefl y show the current status, for example magnifi cation factor and
brightness setting.
To turn the device off , press and hold the On/Off button  for one second. Current
settings are saved.
Reading with the device
Turn the device on and place the reading material on the base plate  under the
camera .
In exceptional cases it can make sense to relocate the fi eld of vision to the upper area
of the base plate. To do this, swivel the camera out past the locking position. It is also
possible to move the camera forward, for example for carrying out handicrafts.
